The Mosque Kitchen opened in 2003 next to Edinburgh Central Mosque. We are a halal restaurant at 31–33 Nicolson Square, serving Indian and British food.
Come for curries cooked in olive oil, kebabs, naans and parathas, or for burgers, wraps and pizzas. There is a vegetarian section too. Warm hospitality, and a place in the community, are what we are proudest of.
The name has a history: the original Mosque Kitchen was opened on the grounds of Edinburgh Central Mosque by the family that runs the Nicolson Square restaurant today. As they told The Edinburgh Inquirer in 2024: “We cater for all.”
